Just three items this month. LONDON W9, WARRINGTON. Gordon Ramsey’s second pub – the opening has been delayed till the autumn. His first pub venture is the Narrow in Narrow Street, Limehouse, E14, and, lest you are fearful of what the Great Chef intends, that does still work as a proper (albeit up-market) pub. HINCKLEY, LEICS, HOLLY BUSH. This Art Deco pub has been closed for some time now and there have been concerns about its future. The present owner has in mind turning the ground floor into a restaurant. So we may lose this as a pub but at least the proposed use could ensure the survival of the listed building and, hopefully, its fittings. More news when available. EDINBURGH, RUTHERFORD’S BAR, DRUMMOND STREET. Planning proposal to totally remove Rutherford's Bar in Drummond Street by extending the Italian restaurant Ciao Roma into it from South Bridge. The pub is a survivor from the 1960s with characteristic fittings of the time. The application 07/02033/FUL dated 15 May is viewable on http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk Geoff
